Information] This is a required course. Essentially, it is a prerequisite for all of the upper level programming courses (the only prerequisite for this course is the introductory COBOL course). This is probably how it should be, since the course discusses computer functioning, from a relatively primitive level, and thus lays the background for programming, regardless of the language used (all programs essentially function in the same manner).
