055. What is an External Database? What Some of the concerns with them?

 

External Databases contain data which is not collected by the organization, and are frequently not maintained at the organization (i.e., they are available from a third party). The concerns are how much the information costs (if not today, then in the future) and whether it meets all of the individual needs of the organization.
