bulletAn Introduction to. .Object-Oriented Analysis..Objects in plain English...Chapter 4: Data-Oriented Models.","This website is based on the book by David W. Brown. On the homepage, visitors are given a table of contents as an overview of what the website contains. Above the table of contents, you can click on a hyperlink that will take you to a page where each individual topic contained in the table of contents is explained in very simple language. The author presents information by using analogies that readers can relate to and understand easily. For example, cardinality is explained in terms of customers purchasing products - a one to many relationship is explained as one customer purchasing several products. The website is very easy to navigate, offers a multitude of information, and the content is very easy to understand.

bulletDatabase Modeling Techniques and Methodologies", "Technatomy uses a model-based approach to its development efforts. The goal of this approach is to construct software models that represent the structure and operations of a business as simply and directly as possible. Because these models are not tied to any particular problem, they can be used to address a wide range of problems, including problems that weren't even imagined when the models were constructed.

bulletEntity Relationship Diagrams are a major data modeling tool and will help organize the data in your project into entities and define the relationships between the entities. This process has proved to enable the analyst to produce a good database structure so that the data can be stored and retrieved in a most efficient manner. John Paul Ashenfelter, faculty member at the University of Virginia, presents this introductory workshop on database concepts for everyone. His interactive presentation includes a discussion of how and why to use databases in education, a demonstration of sample classroom applications developed by the speaker for use at the University of Virginia, and an introduction to database terminology and design concepts.
